Three men standing on the remains of Golden Cross Windmill during demolition, Chalvington Road, Golden Cross, Chiddingly, Wealden, East Sussex, 1935. In July 1935 Golden Cross Windmill (also known as Wickham's Mill and Dicker Mill) was dismantled, leaving few records except this picture. The internal machinery lies scattered on the ground beside the mill. The base of the mill survives and has been converted into a cottage.
