Members of the Bampton Morris troupe performing a dance, with the fiddler in the foreground and another figure holding a broom aloft, Bampton, West Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, 1920-1930. The photographer has written 'Wells troupe' on the negative. This is a reference to William Nathan Wells (1868-1953) known as 'Jingy' or 'Jinky' Wells, the fiddle player for the Bampton Morris, seen here playing his fiddle.
