John W. Crombie MP, 1906. The sitter John William Crombie, was born on 4 March 1858. He became manager of the family firm in 1883. He was also Liberal M.P. for Kincardineshire for sixteen years. He married Marina (Minna) Wason in Paddington, London, in the spring of 1895. He died at 91 Onslow Square, London, on 22 March 1908.
