For HEADACHE, DIZZINESS, BILIOUSNESS, TORPID LIVER, CONSTIPATION, SALLOW SKIN, THE COMPLEXION. Wrapper printed blue on white. Cure Torpid Liver, Sallow Complexion, Bilious Headache. One Pill is one Dose'. Patent medicine formulated by Samuel J. Carter of Pennsylvania in 1868. The pills, with their trademark black crow, were claimed to cure headache, constipation, dyspepsia, and biliousness. From "Illustrated London News", 1895.
