First Carlist War, (1833-1840): Attack of a house near Guernica (Biscay), 1842. Liberal soldiers take refuge from an attack by Carlist troops. A group of around thirty men, under the command of Lieutenant José Aguilera, took refuge in a house to defend themselves from an attack by Carlist forces who were far superior in numbers.
