Josefa Tudó with her sons Manuel and Luis Godoy, in a garden, c1812. Mistress of Manuel Godoy (1767-1851) from the age of seventeen, with whom she had two children: Manuel Luis in 1805 and Luis Carlos in 1806. On the death of Godoy's wife, Princess María Teresa de Borbón, he officially married Pepita, as she was colloquially so-called, on 7 January 1829 in Rome. Prado Museum, Madrid, Spain.
