Napoleon wounded in front of Regensburg, 1856. At the Battle of Ratisbon or Battle of Regensburg (April 23, 1809) Napoleon was slightly wounded by a shot to the ankle. Napoleon's French troops defeated the Austrian army led by Archduke Charles. After a painting by Pierre Gautherot.
