Horse racing at Hipódromo de la Castellana (La Castellana Racecourse), Madrid, Spain, 12th November 1878 (1979). It was inaugurated on 31 January 1878 on the occasion of the wedding of King Alfonso XII and Mercedes of Orléans. Race of the 12th November 1878, in which the horse "Trovador", owned by Mr. Davies, won the prize of the City Council. From "La Ilustración Española y Americana" (The Spanish and American Illustration), 1878.
