Killarney House, Dalton Road, Mosman. Additional Info: Killarney House was built in 1895 by Gerald Dalton on ten acres of land on the corner of Spit Road and what is now Dalton Road. The Dalton Estate was subdivided in 1910 and from 1902 until 1969 the house was used as a private girls' school. It was then divided into small flats until the late 1970s when it became part of a retirement complex. The architect was Walter Liberty Vernon and the home included a tower, a widow’s walk, stained glass coats of arms in the windows and profuse decorative cast iron.
