Portrait of Luis Fernández de Córdoba y Valcárcel (1798-1840), Spanish lieutenant general, 1845. Of absolutist ideas, during the reign of Ferdinand VII he uprised against the government during the Liberal Triennium, being one of the promoters of the failed uprising of the Royal Guard in Madrid on 7 July 1822, which forced him to go into exile in France. From "Panorama Español, Crónica Contemporánea", Vol III, Madrid, 1845.
