King Jagiello and the Teutonic Knights, after 1816. Offering of Swords to Jagiello before the Grunwald Battle. The Grunwald Swords are a pair of simple bare swords sent as a mocking gift by the Order of Teutonic Knights, to King Wladyslaw II Jagiello. The swords were sent on 15 July 1410, just before the Battle of Grunwald. After the Polish-Lithuanian victory, both swords were taken as a war trophy by King Wladyslaw II.
