The Polish-Lithuanian Union in Lublin, 1796. On the left side of the enthroned Sigismund Augustus stands a priest reading the text of the union to the gathered. In the middle, Bacciarelli depicted two knights symbolizing Lithuania and the Crown, holding the laurel-topped and connected flags of both countries: on the left the Lithuanian with the Pogon coat of arms, and on the right the Polish one with the Eagle.
