The Rev. Dr. Jellett, Provost of Trinity College, Dublin, 1881. Engraving from a photograph by Mr. Chancellor. 'The newly appointed Provost of Trinity College, Dublin, to fill the place of the late Rev. Dr. Humphrey Lloyd, is the Rev. John Hewitt Jellett, D.D., whose portrait we present to our readers this week. He has, for some years past, been a member of the Governing Council of the University of Dublin, and one of the Senior Fellows of Trinity College, his Fellowship dating from 1840, and he also held the appointment of Senior Lecturer, and was one of the University Preachers nominated last year. The total number of Fellows of Trinity College is thirty-two; seven of whom are in the senior rank; and sixteen of the Fellows are laymen'. From "Illustrated London News", 1881.
