Gate of Palms (Puerta de Palmas), Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain, 16th century (2008). Built in the first half of the 16th century to control the bridge over Guadiana river. The gate, part of the city walls, has two crenellated towers surrounded by the franciscan cord and joined by a semicircular arch.
