The American steamship tug "Right Arm", Havana, Cuba, 1898. Tug boat belonging to the commercial salvage company contracted to recover the hull of the battleship USS Maine which sank after an explosion on 15 February 1898 in Havana harbour. The event, which occurred during the Cuban War of Independence, served as a pretext for the United States to declare war on Spain. From "La Ilustración Española y Americana", 1898.
