Journey of the emperors of Germany to the Holy Land, Constantinople, Turkey, 1898. Farewell of the German emperors Wilhelm II of Germany (1859-1949) and Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein (1858-1921), to the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II (1842-1918), who met them on October 22 at the Dolmabahce Palace. The emperors were forced to shorten their trip, renouncing the expeditions to Jericho and other towns in Palestine, moving directly to the West. From "La Ilustración Española y Americana", 1898.
