Seven Years War (1756-1763): Third Silesian War - map of the Battle of Liegnitz (August 15, 1760), 1765. It took place on the bank of the Katzbach River in Northern Silesia. An Imperial Austrian army, commanded by Marshal Daun, faced against the Prussian army led by Frederick the Great. The Austrians were defeated by the Prussians. Published in 1765 by the cartographer Jean de Beaurain (1696-1771) as an illustration of his "Great Map of Germany, with the events that took place during the Seven Years War". French edition, 1765.
