Portrait of Feliks Jasienski, 1907. Additional Info: In 1907, Olga Boznanska painted the portrait of her great patron and carer-Feliks "Manggha" Jasienski. Just as in the case of Jasienski's portraits painted by other artists, the painting was probably an expression of the artist’s gratitude towards her patron and collector, who most probably tried to supervise Boznanska's finances. In Boznanska's portrait, Jasienski is presented en face, he is sitting straight in the armchair. In the background, on the right-hand side, a small Buddhist shrine is visible with a protective deity, assigned for home worship and deriving from the famous collection of Jasienski, donated to the National Museum in Krakow.
