The band of that regiment played the Russian Anthem...The Emperor, with the Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh [Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna, daughter of the Czar], entered the foremost of the Royal carriages in waiting...[In] the quadrangle of the Castle,...the Russian National Anthem was again played by the band of the Coldstream Guards.
