Shah Jahan at a Durbar (audience), holding a ruby in his right hand, c1650. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan; on either side of him are Chauri-bearers (servants with fly whisks), and an attendant at far left holds a tray of jewels. Below stands Prince Alamgir (Aurangzeb) who salutes his father. The location is the Diwan-i-Am in Delhi.
