Monsieur Dupoirier, Landlord of the Hotel D'Alsace, 1906. 'Oscar Wilde died in his arms'. Irish playwright and author Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was sent to prison for 'sodomy', and served two years of hard labour. He died in Paris three years after leaving prison.
