Mme Dostoevsky at work in the Dostoevsky room of the Moscow Historical Museum (taken during her last visit there), 1916. Anna Dostoyevskaya (1846-1918) was a Russian writer, philatelist, memoirist and stenographer in her own right, as well as assistant and wife of Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky. She was also one of the first female philatelists in Russia. Behind her are portrait busts of her husband. From "Dostoevsky Portrayed by his Wife" by Mme Dostoevsky.
