Note to James Strachey from Leonard Woolf, c1915-c1924. Map and note to British psychoanalyst James Beaumont Strachey, from author and publisher Leonard Woolf. Leonard's wife, the novelist Virginia Woolf, had written with directions on how to get to their house, but Leonard advises Strachey to ignore these: 'Dear James, I don't think you'll understand V's way. Neglect it and follow my plan above. L. W.' James Strachey was the younger brother of Lytton Strachey, a member of the Bloomsbury Group, to which Virginia and Leonard also belonged.
