Scenographia Systematis Copernicani, c1660. Chart illustrating a heliocentric model of the universe proposed by Copernicus. At the very centre of the map are four sections of the Earth, and the Sun. Circling them is a band depicting the signs of the zodiac. On either side are cherubs and clouds. In the bottom left Justice, wearing a crown and blindfold, sits with a globe at her feet, and a child pointing to a compass. In the bottom right a child reads from a book, while another holds a book open for Truth, holding a torch.
