Marriage procession of a Muslim bridegroom proceeding to the bride's house, c1808. People ride on horseback, in howdahs on the backs of elephants, and by litter. The figure dressed in gold and surrounded by gold standards is the groom. Women watch at right, and men look down from carved wooden balconies. Inscribed on the back in English: 'Procession of the Sanhac'.
