'Unparalled [sic], Novel and Pleasing Exhibition...The astonishing powers possessed by this Lady, have excited the wonder and admiration of all ranks of Society, including Her Most Gracious Majesty, Queen Victoria, who honoured her with a visit, and expressed her delight and surprise at the display of her Mysterious Faculties...There is also a very Splendid Gallery of Paintings - Amongst this Choice Collection is the Venus and Adonis, by Nicolas Poussin...Cabinet of Pictures...Adam & Eve, by Rubens...The Baptism of Christ in the River Jordan, The Nativity, Agar & Ishmael, &c.'
