The Magnificent Living Giraffe, or Camelopardalis, Thirteen Feet High!, c1836. 'Now Exhibiting, Never Before Seen in Liverpool, in Mr. Hodgson's Spacious Inner Room, 60, Church Street, Liverpool'. The giraffe was on loan from the Surrey Zoological Gardens in London for the purpose of the exhibit.
