The Pyopagi Twins shown at Egyptian Hall, 1880. Pygopagi twins are conjoined at the buttocks. Josephine and Rosalie were shown at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly in 1880. Showmanship was a hard business. People and animals with unusual characteristics were ruthlessly exploited and there was little care for them once they lost their popularity with the audience.
