Mr Arthur Sketchley performing as Mrs Brown, 1864. Arthur Sketchley - real name George Rose - as the eponymous lead character in "Mrs. Brown at the Play" at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly, in London. Sketchley performed his Mrs Brown monologues supposedly 'all over the world'.
