Bull-leaping fresco, Palace of Knossos, Crete, Greece, Bronze Age, MM IIB period, ca 1400 BC (2000). Minoan wall painting depicting a young man performing what seems to be a handspring or flip over a charging bull. Bull Leaping was a local sport, during which the athlete had to execute jumps over and on the bull. It was a ritual dedicated to Apollo. Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.
