John Laing and Son Limited, Page Street, Mill Hill, Barnet, London, 30/03/1987. Mrs Joan Kirby posed holding a bouquet with a group of friends and colleagues during her retirement presentation at Mill Hill. Joan Kirby joined Laing in 1955 as a secretary for Mr Waldrum, who was in charge of personnel. She went on to work for various other individuals including John Renshaw. Joan joined Laing's Welfare Department in 1982 and retired from the Company in 1987, after 32 years of service.
