The procession, St. Mary's Hill, Stamford, 1844. '...her Majesty [Queen Victoria] and her loyal escort passing St. Mary's Hill, at Stamford, with the fine old church in the distance  it is principally of the thirteenth century: the height of the tower and steeple, to the top of the vane, is 163 feet'. The Queen and Prince Albert were the guests of the Marquess of Exeter at nearby Burghley House in Lincolnshire. From "Illustrated London News", 1844, Vol V.
