Short-necked Storage Jar, 600s-300s BC. Undecorated pottery such as this earthenware jar was popular during the Bronze Age in Korea. The smooth, uncarved surface shows a shift in taste from the comb-patterns typical of the Neolithic period. Jars made of fine clay like this one were found in tombs, and were likely intended for ritual use.
