Miniature Round Basket, late 1800s-early 1900s. Miniature baskets were made to demonstrate the basket-maker’s virtuoso skill, and these tiny marvels seem to be no exception—the smallest are only five millimeters wide but still patterned. For such fine work, dexterity was required as much for preparation of materials as for weaving.
