Miniature Rhomboidal Basket, late 1800s-early 1900s. Miniature baskets were made to demonstrate the basket-maker’s virtuoso skill, and these tiny marvels seem to be no exception—the smallest are just a few millimeters wide but still patterned. For such fine work, dexterity was required as much for preparation of materials as for weaving.
