Arcadian Landscape, c. 1615. Engraver Hendrik Goltzius worked in Haarlem most of his life. Goltzius revived the chiaroscuro woodcut technique in the late 16th-century, using both line and tone blocks to create printed works that resembled a type of drawing popular at the time.
