'The Marquis of Wellesley', 1833. Portrait of Richard Colley Wesley, later Wellesley, 1st Marquess Wellesley. The Marquess (1760-1842) was the brother of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington. He was a colonial administrator in India, and was involved in the Napoleonic Wars. From "Portraits by Count D'Orsay", an album assembled by Lady Georgiana Codrington. [1850s]
