Apsley House, Hyde Park Corner, London, 1850. Originally built by Robert Adam in 1771-1778, by 1830 Apsley House had been enlarged and remodelled by Benjamin Dean Wyatt to be the Duke of Wellington's main London residence, popularly known as No. 1, London. The adjacent Hyde Park Screen was built between 1822 and 1825 by Decimus Burton. From the Mayson Beeton Collection.
