Brighton Belle, the S.R.'s Electric Locomotive, over Ouse Viaduct', 1940. The Brighton Belle was operated by the Southern Railway and subsequently by British Rail from Victoria Station in London to Brighton. It was the flagship of the Southern Railway's mass electrification project, which began in 1931.
