Captain Evans and Cervera. When the 'Maria Teresa' started to sink, Cervera jumped into the water, and was picked up by the Cuban forces of Cebreco, who handed him over to the 'Gloucester'. From there he was transferred to the 'Iowa', where he was received by the Captain Evans, who gave him the rank of Admiral.
