Temple entrance, Kom Ombo, Egypt, c1890. Kom Ombo is actually two temples consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris. It was begun by Ptolemy VI Philometer (c191-145 BC) and was added to by his successors, notably Ptolemy XIII (c62-47 BC), in whose reign the inner and outer hypostyle halls were added.
