Grand Duke Michael Nikolaevich of Russia and his family, c1862-c1863. Grand Duke Michael (1832-1909) was the fourth son of Tsar Alexander I and Charlotte of Prussia. He served as Governor of Caucasia from 1862 until 1882. He married Princess Cecily of Baden (1839-1891), who then took the name Olga Feodorovna, in 1857. They are pictured with their two eldest children, Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich (1859-1919) and Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna (1860-1922). Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
