The Royal Family of Tahiti, 1864. Queen Pomare IV (1813-1877), Tama Toa, King of Raia Tea Tea, Arhii Faaite, Prince Consort, and Arhii Ane (1839-1891), Heir Presumptive, the future King Pomare V. Tahiti became a French possession in 1880 after Pomare V was forced to abdicate. A print from the 'Illustrated Times', 18 June 1864.
