'When the strange-looking blackfellows were close to him, Yoonecara released the bandicoot', 1923. The adventurous journey of Yoonecara the headman; Yoonecara, head of the Kamilaroi tribe, travels to the land of his ancestors. He is aware that the native men of that land have magical powers that will turn him into an emu so he uses his bandicoot to distract them and escapes to a safer land.
