'Rich's Glory or his Triumphant Entry into Covent-Garden', 1732. Scene of John Rich's triumphant entry into Covent Garden with a procession of performers and props passing through the piazza. On December 7th 1732, John Rich moved his playhouse at Lincoln's Inn Fields to Covent Garden, the theatre later became the Royal Opera House. Below the image is a set of verse.
