City election candidates of 1812. 'A View of the Starting Post and List of the Horses and their Riders who Started for the City Plate October 5th 1812'. Jockeys with the seven candidates for the four City of London seats, represented as horses with human heads. The candidates were: Curtis, Shaw, Combe, Atkins, Waithman, Wood and Hunter, the first four named being returned.
