Entrance to the Haberdashers' Almshouses in Pitfield Street, Shoreditch, London, c1830. The almshouses and school in Pitfield Street, Shoreditch, were established by the Haberdashers' Company under the provisions of Robert Aske's will dated 1689; they were most frequently known as Aske's Hospital (sometimes as Haberdashers' Almshouses). The building was designed by Robert Hooke.
