Felicite and Theophile de Fernig, French heroines, 1792, (1894). The daughters of General Louis Joseph de Fernig, Felicite and Theophile were enrolled in the National Guard in 1792, aged just thirteen and sixteen respectively. They served as aides-de-camp to General Dumouriez during the War of the First Coalition. An illustration from Le Petit Journal, 27th August 1894.
