Sir John Eamer was an eminent wholesale grocer in Wood Street, London. Here he is shown next to his horse, dressed in uniform. In the upper right corner are a coat of arms. He was Sheriff (1794), Alderman (1795-1823), Master of the Salters' Company and Colonel of a regiment of the East London Militia.
