'The review ...', 1750; a street in the Soho area, London, with women of fashion wearing enormous hoop skirts with pulley operated lifting devices; in the rear a woman in a similar skirt is being hoisted on the roof of a coach while through an archway on right a weeping girl is being interrogated under the canopy of her own skirt.
